Study, In the Key of Life

I’m not an organized religion person, but I nurture a spiritual side through an appreciation of nature. Whether I’m marveling at the complementary colors found in a coral reef or in the blooms of backyard summer flowers, I remain fascinated and awestruck by what surrounds us in our everyday world.

Of course, living near the Great Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee helps with this because it is so stunningly beautiful year-round, but it’s at its best in the fall. I caught this subject along the Middle Prong River last autumn. I liked the peak colors set against the cool blue sky. Settings like this are my church.
